''Made in India'' was the first Indian pop (Indipop) album to be sold on a scale comparable to Hindi film music albums. The album established Indipop as a discrete genre and its singer Alisha Chinai became the genre's main proponent. ==The Album== ''Made in India'' was a hit single and album composed by Biddu and released in 1995 on the Magnasound Records label. The lyrics of the song narrate the feelings of the female protagonist who has been around the world and now seeks a man with a good heart, meaning he has to be ‘made in India'.〔 The music video, directed by Ken Ghosh, features a fairy-tale setting in which the heroine, a princess, turns down suitors from different countries and finally chooses a man who is 'made in India'.〔 The album contains well-known songs like, "Aaja Mere Dil Mein", "Ek Baar Do Baar", "Sun O Meri Dhadkan", "Tu Kahan", "Ooh La La", "Tu Jo Mila", "Dhokha Diya Hai Re Tune Mere Dil" and "Lover Girl".
